"Jeff keeps it together and has energy and works. He’s a good singer and performer. I like hanging around A1A on and off stage. Jeff is a great guy and a great musician."
Greg “Fingers” Taylor

"It's amazing, this crazy world of music. Just when you think you have everything pinned down to a tee, along comes an artist with an extraordinary talent who has remained unheard of, until now that is. Go and lend a willfull ear to Jeff Pikes' music, you may enjoy it as I most certainly did."
Nicky Baldrin
Melodic Rock Magazine
London, England

"I respect multi-talented musicians, playing lots of instruments, arranging, recording, producing their own songs as Jeff does. His songs are all very well written and it is quite clear that Jeff is an extraordinary talent."
Catchy Hook-AOR Webzine and Magazine
London, England

"Jeff Pike and A1A can emulate the sound of a 14-piece band on their live gigs and recordings. A1A are also known as the Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show, which steamed into Margaritaville a few years back guided by the radar known as sequencing. These musical first cousins to the Son of a Son of a Sailor have amazed Parrot Heads around the United States and the world with a sound that's so close to the real thing, you'd think it was the Pirate himself onstage.
John Sollenberger

  • The Cheerleader of Fun!

Speaking of A1A, everyone should make the time to see them in Key West somewhere. They are great guys and fun as hell. Jeff is always the greatest ham and cheerleader of phun!  I've had so much fun at so many events where he's played.  Hell, some of the greatest times were when we used to go to the local small craft airport of all places, Peachtree-Dekalb in Atlanta, every few Wednesday's and eat burgers in a small bar room overlooking the runway and just sing along and crack up at Jeff as he made up new lyrics to classic Buffett songs!  He's the king of improv! I used to have me in tears.  I love Jeffie to death and am looking forward to catching up with him down island.  I'll have to copy him on this so he can see Rick's tale of a good time in front of A1A.  Speaking of twisted lyrics..... A few years back Jeff & Jerry McCollum made a Vertical Smile CD - Pelvic Associates and they had a bunch of Atlanta Parrot Head Friends come sing a few backround vocals at the studio early on a Sunday. I guess you had to be there, but it was hilarious trying to get it right and ending up on a CD!  We were a mess and half drunk by the end of it!  We thought we were starting to sound pretty good!!  ;-)  Great bunch, A1A and friends (Chaz, Jerry, Koney, Laurie... 'et all)  Look 'em up ~ Hint: buy Jeffie a Jaeger when you submit a request. ;-) Oh I can't wait for all the PHUN!!

  • Thanks For A Great Time!

Jeff,
It was such a comfort to know that you were providing the music and that part of our party would be fantastic. Even though I worry about everything I did not worry about your part of the event. You are one of the best entertainers I have ever had the pleasure to know. And you are a great person too!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again for being there to support our club even though Three Dog Night wanted you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jeff Pike....Isn't that a kind of a fish?

It's a bit hard to know where to begin when discussing Jeff Pike's music. He's got more talent than any one person should be allowed, and does so much with it. Listen to the CDs: A1A, Vertical Smile, Red Light Cafe,' the solo CDs-His range and abilities are remarkable. His sequencing talents are superb. The extraordinary energy of his live performances leaves the audience breathless and hollering for more. I have never seen any other musician play 7 songs in a row, nonstop, flowing one into another with seamless segues. It's an amazing experience.
Jeff's music is personal and universal. It is multilayered and very hummable, the kind of songs you find running through your head when you wake up in the morning, and sing at the top of your lungs in the shower. It crosses genres and generations. My teenager took Korn out of her CD player the day I brought her a copy of Red Light Cafe.' Now she plays Jeff's CDs when her friends visit, and they want their own copies. I can't wait for his next CD.
Get one for yourself. Go hear him pay live. I bet you'll buy the rest. And you won't confuse him with a fish, either.

  • To a GREAT man and a GREAT Musician

I was priviledged once again last night to hear one of the GREATEST musician's I've ever known! Jeff makes many trips to my home town, Montgomery, Alabama, to perform at "THE KEYS" located on Dalraida Road. Each time Jeff cranks up his guitar you can bet he has a real treat in-store for the listeners. He has much talent and is an accomplished singer, guitarist and songwriter of many of the songs that he performs. This person holds me spell-bound from his first song to his last in a performance! Jeff is a man of dedication with a super personality to go along with his talents. If I were to name all the artists I have met and knew quite well, I would have to name Jeff as the Ice Cream that sits on top of the cone, the "goodie" part! All of his performances are like magic. Such talent and experience is not usually "on the road again" as he is. Year in and year out he performs his shows with expertise. Let me say, Jeff does his own driving across this Country as he travels to each engagement and he performs for hours without ever taking a break! My hat goes off in respect and admiration for Jeff. Within him is the ability to laugh and to be happy, as well. Anyway, I could talk on and on about Jeff, however, one should go to one of his performances and see and hear for themselves! It's Magic!

I am honored to know Jeff and to hear his music as often as I do! Keep up the good work Jeff, ya know I love ya!

  • Time For Real

Jeff Pike (and his various musical incarnations) always has a very "REAL" quality to his music. Even at those tongue-in-cheek times when he's attempting to seem superficial. This is somthing that the musical mainstream has been lacking for some time. Keeping it real, along with a masterfully professional execution, is one thing that makes Jeff a true Gem in the "indie" crown!

  • A Letter From A Friend
Dear Jeff
I was very touched by your letter, and am honored to be included among those you count as supporters. You have already been living MY dream for years, simply by performing music. There is nothing I have ever wanted more than just to have a band and play every night. I suppose that even ones dreams can become trying though, and one has to be careful for what one wishes I guess! I understand your need to expand your horizons, and am thrilled and filled with admiration for you that you are forging ahead at the risk of leaving the safety and comfort of the known for the opportunity to grow. I will be honored to listen to your music and give you honest feedback, as I always have been, and share your music with everyone I know. You are TRULY an inspiration to me Jeff, I hope that you know that. Your life may seem mundane and old hat to you at times, or stranded at a plateau, but when I think of all the times I've seen you perform so brilliantly, with your soaring voice and your beautiful, heartfelt lyrics, and realize that you make a living performing your music, it never fails to brighten my day and give me hope and inspiration. I have always maintained that it is only a matter of time before you get the break you deserve, and I wish you so many blessings in this new endeavor! I look forward to hearing from you soon! And always remember Jeff, success is not measured by ones fame or fortune, but by those YOU enrich! Count yourself a mighty prosperous man my brother.

  • Waiting For The Fire

In March of 1988, I was introduced to this young man and have greatly enjoyed his musical talents; not the bands or the gigs, but his true talent. Jeff has a way of writing a song and taking it to heights that other songwriters/musicians only dream of doing. His own style remains just that; his own style. He does not feel the need to play off of someone's already played set in order to bring a crowd to their feet demanding more of the same. His writings are poetic and tell of many stories that have passed in his life. Jeff music tells quite a bit about the man behind the guitar; his past, his present and yes, sometimes you can even see into his future. He has a soul that is complex and a writing style that suits his soul. I have never met a man who was able to grab hold to something good and just keep making it better. His first CD Release was of course my personal favorite; but they do just get better from there. For every season there is a turn; and for every song he writes, another season changes and another page is turned.

  • Jeff Pike Rules!!!

I have been a member of "Pikes Pit Crew" since its inception, and as one of his oldest and hardest working fans I can honestly say that Jeff has the ability to please a wide variety of audiences. I have witnessed his performances in many different venues, and at each and every one he has not only pleased his audiences, but he has also managed to walk away with several new followers. His collaboration with the members of A1A, Vertical Smile, and even his solo works are purely a work of art. I was present at the recording of "Waiting for the Fire" and ever since then, I have known that Jeff is a musical force to be reckoned with. His knowledge of production and his writing capabilities reflect in "Waiting for the Fire" and in the partnership that he made with Koney Ferrell in "Live at the Red Light Cafe." My all time favorites are "Words and Music" and "Good Morning Alabama." And on top of that, the music that he created on "The Other Side" shows that Jeff was a star way before his time in the 80's. Thank God he decided to share it with us!! Do yourself a favor and indulge in the musical genius that is Jeff Pike...you will be glad you did.

  • Waiting For The Fire

I have had the pleasure of listening to Jeff Pike for seventeen years, and I am continuously impressed by his versatility, vocal range, and overall talent level. "Waiting For The Fire" has a special meaning for me, especially the song "Fade Away." I was fortunate enough to know the writer of this special song, the subject the song was written about, and why, and Jeff brought the music to life. I would buy this CD for this song alone. I feel grateful that I had the opportunity to minister to the author of "Fade Away" before he passed away. I know the related families were comforted by Jeff's recorded performance of this song. This is a truly talented musician and deserving of your support.

  • Jeff Pike-The Other Side....Another hidden talent!

Jeff Pike's CD, "The Other Side", is a wonderful example of Jeff's immense talent as a songwriter and musician and showcases his romantic, sensitive side. His lyrics are meaningful and the music is beautiful. Together they will touch your heart and soul. My three favorite songs on this CD are : "Sometimes It Takes Time", "Through The Sands of Time" and "Alice In Wonderland". This CD has universal appeal and would be enjoyed by just about anyone who enjoys good music.

  • "The Other Side"---Jeff continually amazes me!

If you know (or know of) Jeff Pike, you can't help but be amazed by his versatility! The songs on this CD (The Other Side) are from deep inside, a person that only Jeff knows. But when you listen to the words, you know that this man has really felt these emotions, lived through trying times, and has made it to "The Other Side." Male or female, you will be touched by these songs, tap your toes along to the beat, and be entranced. Way to go Jeffie!

  • "The Other Side" and "Live at The Red Light Cafe"

"The Other Side"
I love this CD. I have been listening to Jeff Pike's original music for almost 6 years. Take some time to listen to the words - there are true life lessons to be learned and listened to in Jeff's songs. Some of my favorites are "Alice In Wonderland", "Sometimes It Takes Time" and "How Much?". If you listen to some of Jeff's songs, you might just see how what he sings about fits situations in your own life and how true and honest his songs are. This CD is definitely worth while.
"Live at The Red Light Cafe"
I have known of Jeff Pike and his music since 1995. Everyday I gain a better understanding & appreciation for his talents. I have a very large range of musical interests, but on a daily basis, I listen to "Live at The Red Light Cafe". My favorite all time JP song is "Midwinter Wind". And, some of my other favorites are "Alice in Wonderland" & "Cosmic Chestnut Mare". I have found meaning in all of Jeff's songs for they all seem to relate in one way or another to my life. Check this CD or any of the others out and I think you will find the same.

  • "The Other Side"...A Wonderful, Hidden Talent.

Jeff has an amazing way of writing that speaks to each listener in a unique way. Not only does his music invoke empathy, but self-awareness as well. I highly recommend this CD and feel certain that you won't be disappointed.

  • "Live" at The Red Light Cafe"

Jeff Pike is an excellent guitarist and vocalist, and an incredible songwriter. Backed here by veteran bassist and mandolinist Koney Ferrell, Jeff takes the best of his songs and makes them better in a live, acoustic venue. If you like Pike's other albums, you'll love this one. His profound, sometimes haunting lyrics blend wonderfully with the subtle eloquence of the acoustic guitar and mandolin to make this what I consider his best recording to date.

  • "Live" at The Red Light Cafe"

I was at the recording of this CD and it's versions recorded on this CD are excellent versions of Jeff's studio recordings. His vocal range, playing and writing ability are awesome. Along with the talent is the stage presence and connections with the crowd. I reccommend this CD highly as well as his other CDs.

  • "Waiting For The Fire" and "Live" at The Red Light Cafe"

We have been listening to Jeff's music since 1992, and he has matured as an artist and as a song writer. His creativity and musical versatility keep his performances and music fresh and keep the audiences involved. Both "Waiting for the Fire" and "Live at the Red Light Cafe" are great, but show different faces of Jeff. His performance with Koney Ferrell on "Live at the Red Light Cafe" made for a great listening experience the night they recorded the music and since. Both are great additions to any collection.

  • Truly Talented

As singers/songwriters, and entertainers go, Jeff is truly talented. Not only will you be drawn into his musical talent and obvious experience, you get hooked on his live performances. Jeff displays not only an unmatched talent and knowledge of his profession, but an irresistible persona that keeps you wanting more.

Jeff Pike is extremely talented and versatile in his music. You cannot not go wrong with any of his CD's. His music ability covers many spectrums both as a songwriter and musician.

  • Jeff Pike

Jeff Pike is a very talented musician, singer/songwriter, and entertainer. I have seen him perform music of all kinds--both his own compositions and those of others--for over 6 years now. I have seen him as a solo artist, as a duo, trio, quartet and more. Sometimes it was just a silly party or a loud wild affair. Other times it was laid back and subdued. Regardless of the circumstance, his ability to be a remarkable entertainer and his even more impressive musical skills shine through. Whether you need some fun music to brighten your day, something with more substance to sit back and relax too, or just something to make you say "I wanna hear that again" ...well Jeff pike is your man. I definitely recommend his music.

  • Jeff Pike

I've known Jeff and have heard his music for many, many years in various forms, either as a solo artist or performing with a band. This is one VERY talented and personable musician. He is also very chameleon-like as far as his music goes. Although mainly known by his many followers as the "Jimmy Buffett of Atlanta" I've heard Jeff switch in an instant from the "island escapism" music of Buffett to good ole rock n 'roll of such groups as Uriah Heep, The Beatles, The Monkees, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Pink Floyd, etc., then switch again to the blues such as B.B.King. I've even heard him sound like Hank Williams Jr., Willie Nelson for any country fans that happen to be in the audience. As far as his own music is concerned, Jeff has a distinct sound, yet with a touch of the influences of artists like Dan Fogelberg and Gino Vannelli. His song, "Midwinter Wind" off of his "WAITING FOR THE FIRE" CD is my own personal favorite. Any one his CD'd would be a welcomed addition to your music library.

  • Jeff Pike

Whether it's in a boat at 2am in the center of a dark and unfamiliar lake with only hawk-tempered insects as his guide, on a snowmobile at top speed within the belly of a frozen forest, on stage with Jimmy Buffett, or playing a note higher than Jerry Garcia, Jeff Pike lives large and on the edge. Historical documentation has it that his ancestors were once brave pioneers. Jeff genuinely has that spirit flowing through his veins and his music. Give this original Southern Pike a listen when you are looking for some original music and have some fun with Jeff Pike. He will appreciate your interest.

  • Jeff Pike

Although I have only known Jeff for a short time I have come to love his music. Jeff is an extremely talented musician, singer, songwriter and entertainer. One of my favorite songs is "Alice in Wonderland", you have to listen to it. If you ever have a chance to see him in person you will realize that you are hooked and you will keep wanting more. You can't go wrong with any of Jeff's CD's.

What Picasso does to canvas, Jeff Pike does to music.
Whether it be a twilight serenade for an intimate audience of friends or an irreverent adventure with a pier full of lively fans from across the country, every performance is a clever, talented and unique musical experience.

  • A1A and Vertical Smile

Buy any and all A1A CD's. If A1A is not a better party than JB himself then A1A is very closely the next best thing. I have listened to and seen A1A live before every Jimmy Buffett concert I have ever been to. A1A is politically incorrect Buffett! If you cannot see A1A then hire them for your wedding reception (I hired Jeff!), birthday party, or funeral! The morning after you can listen to Vertical Smile (buy all CD's, now) while you sober up and get ready for the next A1A party! Seriously, Jeff Pike is not only a great musician but he is also a great entertainer whether he is with A1A, Vertical Smile, or just by himself. Jeff Pike for president!

"I am a musician. My passion for music has obliterated everything in its path for my entire life. Whenever there was a choice between music and anything else, music won hands down every time.
