A very special evening of Jeff's original music recorded "unplugged" and all acoustic before an intimate audience at Atlanta's prominent acoustic listening room, The Red Light Café.
With original musical stylings reminiscent to artists such as Karla Bonoff, David Gates, Dan Fogelberg, Kenny Loggins, James Taylor and John Denver, "Live" at The Red Light Cafe turned into Jeff's third solo release.
It is considered by many people who own it to be one of the finest "live", acoustic, easy listening albums they have ever heard and to be Jeff's finest work to date.

The Other Side

Jeff's second CD release takes off where his first CD, "Waiting For The Fire" ended. Coated with lush vocal harmonies, intricate guitar and keyboard work, the music here flows perfectly from beginning to end. Recorded and performed with a 80's flare, "The Other Side" has been compared to artists such as Hall and Oates, The Tubes, Toto, 10cc, Brian May of Queen and The Alan Parsons Project. This CD was a very long time in the making and is still Jeff's personal favorite.

Waiting For The Fire

Jeff's recording debut is a concept CD that deeply explores the triumphs and the tragedies of searching, finding and losing love. Not a new concept by any means, but one written from personal experiences with much care and devotion. Devotion and care which show through in every performance. Within every song one can feel how Jeff's lyrics and music are constantly striving to connect on many different levels with the deep emotions and feelings of the listener.
The musical content, vocal and musical arrangements on "Waiting For The Fire" are reminiscent to the musical stylings of classic artist's such as Styx, REO Speedwagon, Christopher Cross, Gino Vannelli, Bread, Richard Marx, Kenny Loggins and Dan Fogelberg.

Out Of The Hole

Ken and Jeff's first CD "Let Go" (now out of print) which was released in 2001 was a very special and unique CD by child hood friends Jeff Pike and Ken Mercer. It was a ground breaking musical testimony about the miracle of recovery as told through the words of Ken and the music of Jeff. An honest and true life story account of one man's journey into the depths of alcoholism, drug addiction, denial, depression and finally spirituality and recovery. A story that mirrors so many millions of others. Since it's release in 2001 "Let Go" has sold extremely well in the local recovery, spiritual and Christian community of Atlanta, GA and has been a deep inspiration to those who have heard it. In many cases a vehicle that has actually saved lives. Ken and Jeff have performed "Let Go"- The Miracle of Recovery at local and national recovery conventions and meetings both large and small. Their performances, message and music have effected countless people, and it is their continued hope that through this project they can give hope to those still struggling with their faith and the disease of alcoholism.
"Out Of The Hole" began in 2005 when Ken was asked to share his story at many a meeting. During his experience, strength and hope, God revealed to Ken that he was referring to lines from the songs that were shared in "Let Go" while sharing his story. Thus "Let Go" was revisited and re-recorded to become "Out of The Hole." Listening to "Out Of The Hole" is now like sitting in a speaker meeting accompanied by a musical testimony. The story is now told, however, not only through the songs that were answers to Kens prayers, but by a short narrative that precedes each song. The end result is once again a ground breaking recording of faith, honesty and recovery. This project started in 1996 and has taken 11 years to reach it's maturity. We think you will agree it was worth the wait.
While the musical style of Ken and Jeff is very much their own, some have compared their sound to the recordings of Dan Fogelberg, Bruce Springsteen, and Kenny Loggins.

Recorded at "The Keys," in front of a faithful following of drunken Parrot Heads at a local club in Montgomery, Alabama, this hilariously twisted CD contains 20 parody songs of well known recordings by artists such as The Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, Dionne Warwick, Frank Sinatra, The Georgia Satellites, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Fleetwood Mac, and even songs from "My Fair Lady" and "The Sound of Music." Like their first CD "Pelvic Associates," “Live” at The Keys” is the PERFECT Parrothead party companion!

Vertical Smile can best be described as a cross between Jimmy Buffett, Weird Al Yankovic, Bob Rivers, the comedic side of Frank Zappa, "The Man Show" and Howard Stern...yea...no kidding..:-)What we have here is their first CD, "Pelvic Associates."
"Pelvic Associates" is a twisted concept CD with parodies of songs by Jimmy Buffett, The Beatles, Billy Joel, The Brady Bunch, Fleetwood Mac and commentary by Jeff, Jerry McCollum (the brainchild and creator of Vertial Smile) and some famous celebrities.
Aside from musical performances and antics by Jeff and Jerry, Vertical Smile's debut Cd also features the harmonica wizardry of one Greg "Fingers" Taylor. Mr. Taylor was the original harmonica player for Jimmy Buffett for over 30 years and is a big Vertical Smile fan!! Pretty cool huh?...Well..we think so..:-)
Listeners and fans agree that you will split your sides over "Pelvic Associates." (Even if you don't want to admit it in public!)
