The end of the Holiday Season and another year is upon us, and I cannot believe it is already New Year's Eve. I venture to state we have all probably had ups and downs in 2025. I certainly have.

As I grow older, my New Year's Resolutions certainly do change drastically year to year. Moving on into 2026, I wish you the gift of wisdom to make the most of every hour of every day in the next 365 days we have until 2027. Make it a priority to take supreme care of your physical and mental health, and above everything, follow your heart and chase your true dreams with all the strength and vigor you have. Time is short, and the clock is ticking.

The guitar in the picture was given to me by my parents for my 16th Birthday in 1978. The tree was with me for 19 years. Sometimes I feel like my mind is a wormhole where memories are all happening to me all at once, like my entire life is flashing before my eyes. It is a bizarre feeling. As far back as I can remember, I've been very moved by the song 'There's Always Tomorrow' from the 1964 TV Christmas Special 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.' When I was a child, I remember anxiously awaiting that part of the show when Clarice would sing this song to Rudolph. It never failed to move me to tears and was always over too soon. This was long before VCR's, DVDs, personal computers, and the internet was even a dream in the mind of the people who created them. These special moments came around once a year on television, and if you missed them, well, then you missed them. People would strategically plan their daily lives to make sure they were in front of the TV Set when their favorite annual Christmas Special came on. Mine were always 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' and 'A Charlie Brown Christmas.'
This beautiful piece of music, written by Johnny Marks, can spark hope, love, and dreams in every man, woman, and child, regardless of age. It has always been my dream to record it, and back in 2014, I finally took on the project. I am pleased to offer it to you again during this Christmas Season. Always keep your dreams and hope alive in your heart. - Jeff Pike

Last night, Nero & MaryAnn brought the acoustic island vibes to The Atlanta Parrot Head Club’s Annual Christmas Party. Pictured here with Nero are Nero's Jimmy Fest co-conspirators Jeff Pike (A1A band) and Kathy Mullen (Mullen's Miracles). Jeff also hopped onstage with us for a crowd-pleasing “Fins” singalong, which felt exactly right.

Since I first heard this song and bought the album in November of 1971, it has remained one of my very favorite Christmas songs. For me, Christmas has always started on Thanksgiving Eve. Music has always been an enormous part of Christmas for me, and every year, this was the first song and album I would play to ring in the Christmas season.
I always wanted to record my own version of this song, and back in 2017, I finally decided to sit down and do it. I tried to stay as faithful to the original as possible, so I painstakingly learned all the parts, recorded and played them live, and programmed the drums. I have gotten better at recording since then, but I still want to share it with you. Oh yeah, NO AI was used in the creation or recording of this song. Merry Christmas!
