July 10 - “Right Where I Am” - NEW CD and STREAMING RELEASE DATE 

Several years ago, Gino Vannelli offered me a chance to record a project with him. As a singer, I consider this one of the two greatest offers I have ever received. Gino’s Brother, Ross, made the other one when he joined Kathy Mullen and me in Mullen's Miracles. Both were definite bucket-list dream-come-true projects for me.

For “Right Where I Am,” Gino picked the songs, arranged, produced, engineered, and performed all of the instruments, and I provided the lead vocal. Other gifted musicians rounded out our recording.

Sometimes the best-laid plans come to fruition when the universe says it is time. This has been the case with ‘Right Where I Am.’ It was initially slated for release in 2021, but unexpected personal and professional life challenges for both of us kept pushing it back. The entire project has a long, beautiful, and fascinating story, but I will save that for later. It has been a long road, but I do not think the timing could be any better. Everything happens in God's timing if you let it.

Gino, Ross, and I are very proud of this album. I hope you will give it a listen and let us know what you think.

I invite you to join me for a very special event that has been a long time in the making. Well, two events actually. My 65th Birthday, and finally, the release of the full CD I recorded with Gino Vannelli a few years ago, ‘Right Where I Am.’ Sometimes the best-laid plans come to fruition when God says it is time. I feel this has been the case with ‘Right Where I Am.’ It was initially slated for release in 2021, but life kept pushing it back. It has been frustrating, but now I see the big picture, and I do not think the timing could be any better. Everything happens in God's timing if you let it.

The CD, a new unreleased single, and maybe a new music video will be released on July 10. On Saturday, July 11,  I will celebrate the release of ‘Right Where I Am’ and my 65th Birthday with a Party and Live performance with the ‘Right Where I Am’ quartet at Sandbox Studio South in Alpharetta, Georgia.

We want to thank everyone who attended our show last night at The Walhalla PAC in Walhalla, South Carolina. The band was on fire, and so was the audience.

To make it even better, they put the live Artemis II splashdown on the big LED screen behind us while we were performing. It was indeed a special performance I will always remember. To mark the occasion, I gave a small acoustic tribute to Artemis II and NASA, then performed “Come To The Moon.” It was impossible not to tear up while singing it, but I made it through. Welcome home, Artemis II

I am so grateful to have lived long enough to witness this moment. The last time I looked up at the moon and felt this depth of joy and wonder, I was 10 years old. Days like today once again fill my heart with overflowing pride and confidence in what humanity can achieve if we work hard, work together, and always follow our dreams. My strongest dream all my life, since I was a child, was to be an astronaut and to travel to space. I knew soon enough that it was not to be my destiny, but it never curbed the enthusiasm for my dream. My deepest respect, admiration, and praise to NASA and the four astronauts who made history today by taking yet another small step for man, and another giant step for mankind on our journey to Mars. God Speed.

And I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon…
