July 10 - “Right Where I Am” - NEW CD and STREAMING RELEASE DATE

Several years ago, Gino Vannelli offered me a chance to record a project with him. As a singer, I consider this one of the two greatest offers I have ever received. Gino’s Brother, Ross, made the other one when he joined Kathy Mullen and me in Mullen's Miracles. Both were definite bucket-list dream-come-true projects for me.

For “Right Where I Am,” Gino picked the songs, arranged, produced, engineered, and performed all of the instruments, and I provided the lead vocal. Other gifted musicians rounded out our recording.

Sometimes the best-laid plans come to fruition when the universe says it is time. This has been the case with ‘Right Where I Am.’ It was initially slated for release in 2021, but unexpected personal and professional life challenges for both of us kept pushing it back. The entire project has a long, beautiful, and fascinating story, but I will save that for later. It has been a long road, but I do not think the timing could be any better. Everything happens in God's timing if you let it.

Gino, Ross, and I are very proud of this album. I hope you will give it a listen and let us know what you think.

If you aren’t “old school” and prefer streaming over CDs, I invite you to follow me on Spotify and listen to all my music there or on your other favorite streaming platforms. Thank you for listening.

I've been listening to Jeff Pike since Waiting for the Fire came out in 1991, and one thing has remained remarkably consistent over the years: Jeff has never simply sung songs. He tells stories. Every lyric feels lived in, every note intentional, and every performance invites you into the journey rather than simply asking you to listen.

Jeff's voice has always possessed a rare combination of warmth, strength, and sincerity. He doesn't rely on vocal acrobatics to make an impression. Instead, he lets emotion do the heavy lifting. There's an honesty in his delivery that makes you believe every word, whether he's singing about hope, love, perseverance, or finding your place in the world.

Right Where I Am feels like the culmination of a lifetime of musical and personal growth. The album carries the confidence of an artist who knows exactly who he is and has nothing left to prove. The title track, beautifully produced by Gino Vannelli, sets that tone from the very beginning, pairing Jeff's heartfelt vocal performance with a rich musical landscape that perfectly complements the song's message.

What has always set Jeff apart is his gift for storytelling. His songs don't rush. They unfold naturally, allowing the listener to experience the emotions rather than simply observe them. His lyrics paint vivid pictures, while his warm, expressive voice draws you into each story with an authenticity that feels personal. It's a style that has become increasingly rare in today's music landscape, and it's one of the reasons his music continues to resonate with longtime fans like me.

After more than three decades of following Jeff's career, Right Where I Am feels less like another album release and more like catching up with an old friend. It reflects maturity without losing heart, musical craftsmanship without sacrificing authenticity, and hope without pretending life has been easy.

If you've never heard Jeff Pike before, this is a wonderful place to begin. If you've been listening since the Waiting for the Fire days like I have, Right Where I Am is a rewarding reminder of why you've stayed on the journey all these years.
