8 years ago today you have been gone, so many times it seems like yesterday, and many others, well, an eternity since we saw your smile, felt your hug and I heard, "I love you Mom".

I continue to uphold my last promise and commitment to you at the University of Iowa Hospital, that I would do everything I could to help other families not lose their "Eric", and other "Eric's" would have more choices and resources to continue living life beyond the rough spots. For 6 of those 8 years, we continued to grow and refine Mullen's Miracles 

Your love for the outdoors continues to inspire me. I will always see it in your face, especially in trail photos - a sense of peace and possibility. Out there, you always breathed easier, smiled bigger, your light shined brighter, and freedom surrounded you. Allowing you freedom from anxiety and everything that weighed you down.

This year, we have chosen to celebrate your life by enhancing our mission, by launching the ERIC MULLEN LEGACY FUND, our way of keeping your light near and shining brightly for others to benefit from your life. Yes, you still matter and so will your everlasting love.

We pray that this fund will continue to carry your spirit forward, one of gentleness, hope, adventure, and a sense of wonder.
If it helps even one person feel less alone, more seen, more supported and more loved, then we'll know your legacy remains at work.

Your signs, especially all the hearts you have sent me, warm my heart, knowing you are not too far away.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 during the month of October, which just happened to be one of Eric's (and our families') favorite months.

ERIC MULLEN LEGACY FUND will live on beyond this month as the first Legacy Fund established through Mullen's Miracles.
Eric's life and legacy are already helping create opportunities for others to find connection, hope, resources, and support.
We envision a growing community of Legacy Funds, each carrying the name and story of someone whose life has touched others. Eric is only the beginning.

Eric is Forever 26 - so if you would like to make a donation of $26, or $260, or really any amount, in Eric's memory, we would be greatly honored. Support Eric's Legacy Fund however it fits best for you. Sharing a story about Eric in the comments, sharing this page with friends, supporting Mullen's Miracles overall mission of providing hope.

The money donated to ERIC MULLEN LEGACY FUND will be used to support new programs and continued growth of existing ones.

It’s a time to raise awareness, break down the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide, encourage conversations, share resources, and remind people that they are not alone and that help is available.

For me personally, Mullen’s Miracles is very near and dear to my heart. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Kathy Mullen from day one in 2020 to build this incredible organization and to see firsthand the passion, compassion, resources, and determination behind our team and mission grow.

I’d love to introduce Mullen’s Miracles to those of you who may not know about the organization — and ask those who already know and support MM to help us spread the word and save lives.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude after our successful and well attended Mullen’s Miracles Suicide and Organ Donation Awareness, CD Release event this past Sunday, May 3 at Sandbox Studio South in Alpharetta, Georgia.
