An enormous thanks to the band and all of the people of Zanesville, Ohio, who helped make our show, and my Birthday a tremendous success! Even the local livestock is in on the fun and frolic. We look forward to returning next year!

Happy Saturday! I am deeply humbled, moved, and flattered at the number of Birthday Wishes I have received. I read them all and will respond to as many as possible! I had a great day, but I have one heartfelt request before my Birthday Weekend Celebration ends. If you could listen to my new song, "Keep On Walking," watch my latest music video and share it on your social media, it would help immensely and mean the world to me. The link is below. Enormous thanks and love to everyone for being part of my journey. I am sincerely grateful! If there is one thing I accept more of with each passing year is that my elders who came before me were mostly right about everything. Having now made it to 62 years old, my understanding and perception of life from start to finish, whenever that may be, changes every year. Life is very short. Most can’t see it until they get to the “backside of the mountain,” as my Dad used to say. I lost my Dad this year, which has opened some enlightening and painful windows for me. But I do still have my Mom. Things are changing. Not all is sad, for many good things have happened in this past year of my life. My daughter married, and she and her husband moved into their first home. I released two new singles and music videos, which I recorded with Gino Vannelli and Ross Vannelli. Kathy and I finished a new album of all original music and music videos with Ross Vannelli for Mullens Miracles, which we are incredibly proud of. More about that is coming soon, and I continue to be grateful and amazed by all the incredible musicians I am blessed to perform with in A1A. If you could watch my two latest music videos and share them with a short message or two, it would be the perfect Birthday present. I am proud of my new music and want everyone to see and hear it. You can find them at www.linktr.ee/jpcoa While always looking, I have yet to find a song I identify with more than this one by Jeff Lynne. I wish I had written it. Thanks to everyone who has passed through and those who are still helping me write the soundtrack of my life. I am profoundly blessed and eternally grateful to everyone who has been a part of my journey. Had a flashback of good times last night at Bahama Breeze when the only parking spot available was this one.
Our journey is never over….

Listen to my new single, “Keep On Walking” and watch my new music video at www.linktr.ee/jpcoa It was beautiful seeing Christopher Cross at The Center Stage Theater this past Wednesday night. No, he will still not win any awards for stage presence, and his voice is not as powerful as it once was, but he can still hit the notes. Phenomenal musicians surrounded him, and his set list was very well-rounded. He also interacted more with the audience than the last time I saw him. Just hearing his beautiful songs played live is more than enough for the price of admission.
Listen to my new single, “Keep On Walking” and watch my new music video at www.linktr.ee/jpcoa With the recent vast public attention around the catastrophic and tragic fatal accident of the Oceangate Titan Submarine, which occurred on the way to visit the wreckage of The Titanic, I was reminded of a song I wrote and recorded some year ago which deals with the ignorance selfishness of man and the harshness and beauty of the ocean.
In 2008, I was commissioned by The Save The Manatee Foundation and The Tampa Bay Parrot Head Club to write and record a song to be included on a CD that was being produced by The Save The Manatee Foundation entitled "Saving Paddy Doyle." The CD's objective was to bring awareness to the rising danger of man to the Manatee. I also placed the song on the A1A 2008 CD release, Beachwrecked. Read the complete story and listen to "The Steller Song Lines" in my latest blog - Man Against The Sea - The Steller Song Lines. Thank you for listening and sharing, Jeff Last night in Atlanta, Peter Frampton proved that a positive attitude and hard work are everything. Despite his illness, he played for two and a half hours nonstop. His voice and guitar playing have not slipped a bit, and you could tell he was having a lot of fun. An added bonus was that Alison Prestwood from the old Tom Grose and The Varsity here in Atlanta from back in the 80s was playing bass! It was an incredible night for classic rock!

I was given the topic of "The Steller Sea Cow" as my topic. The Steller Sea Cow was a forefather to today's Manatee and was discovered by Georg Steller in 1714 in the Bering Straits in the North Pacific Ocean. They were docile, friendly, family-loving, and trusting creatures, which soon led them to complete extinction due to humanity's greed. I encourage you to read all about The Steller Sea Cow by visiting this link. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steller%27s_sea_cow When setting out to compose "The Steller Lines," I wanted the lyric to be relatable to those who knew the story of Steller's Sea Cow and those who did not. It is a sad story of loss and greed that takes place in the ocean for the Sea Cow; however, we all experience loss, death, and greed in some form throughout our lives, so I wanted to make sure it would resonate with everyone and in doing so, I might be able to encourage some to gravitate to learning about The Steller Sea Cow and the danger of which our saltwater and freshwater manatees face today. I pray for the lost souls who perished at sea while traveling to see the Titanic. I hope this tragic accident will encourage the scientific community to treat the power and boundaries of the ocean with the respect it deserves. Know when to say no. Life is so fragile, and our world is so unpredictable and powerful. Both should be highly respected and handled with great care. I also placed the song on the A1A 2008 CD release, Beachwrecked. I hope you enjoy my music and will share with your family and friends. Thank you! Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel. |
